It is wonderful to read these reviews and see that the critics are beginning to realise what an exceptional actor Matthew Macfadyen really is. If he ever fancies playing a really dark kind of villain in some future blockbuster thriller, a role like Charlie will help him on his way.
I was worried at first that the controversial nature of Secret Life might go against him in some way, but his brilliant performance has shone through and showcased his versatile skills as an actor.
